DAY 100! We’ve journeyed together for the last 100 days praising and declaring His faithfulness. We hope you’ve been impacted by the power praise has on your life. How could we ever praise Him enough?
Praise changes your perspective.
I always want a room with a view, and hotels love to charge more for even a partial view of the ocean or the city skyline. Your “view” changes your perspective. Where you are sitting changes what you SEE and experience. Praise lifts you UP to SEE things from a higher and richer vantage point. We have a PREMIUM SEAT in Christ. Praise pushes our our soul (mind, will and emotions) into His presence to experience this awesome view!
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus… Ephesians 2:6
There’s always a reason.
Matt Redman wrote a song called 10,000 Reasons …
The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes…
For all Your goodness
I will keep on singing
10, 000 Reasons for my heart to find
There is ALWAYS more than 10,000 reasons to praise God! They are settled forever. They are more real than what we feel, but…
There is also always a reason to complain!
Yes, it’s true. Until we cross over to heaven, there is always something that’s not perfect, something annoying, nagging or ailing us. Depending on where you LOOK, you will find a reason to PRAISE or to POUT! What will your view be?
How could we praise him enough? How could our HALLELUJAHS halt? As the old beloved song written by John Newton in 1779 says..
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun. (Amazing Grace)
We’ve only just begun. Let us continue to pour out our PRAISE and always FIND the real REASONS that matter. In Christ alone, we gain our strength to persevere and continue “Over the Top”.
Father, we pray The Bridge Church in Denton, Texas on Fishtrap Road will jubilantly exalt your name for another 100 years! Let everything that has breath – PRAISE THE LORD!
Psalm 150 (NIV)
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
